Mustang special edition is a time-honored tradition of Ford. Anniversary Gold Millionth Mustang and Sprint 200 Limited Edition were the two first special editions by the manufacturer. They were released back in 1966. Each model had a wide range of features for a discounted rate. Plus, it had a commemorative dash plaque. And the tradition is still alive. Plus, the manufacturer has introduced two special editions as well as a new color option.
2022 Mustang Shelby GT500 Heritage Edition
Carroll Shelby put a modified 7-liter 428 Cobra jet Engine in a G T350 and introduced GT500. So, the 2022 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500 Heritage Edition is a tribute to the original. It replicates the Q code and offers a choice of several options: hand-painted over-the-top stripes with a special logo and vinyl side stripes.
The Heritage Edition doesn’t offer any mechanical upgrades. Therefore, if you go for a vinyl stripe option, you will have to pay only $2,140. On the other hand, if you prefer a hand-painted one, you will pay an additional sum of $12,400. For the base unit, the price will go up by $3,165 and make it $77,260.
2022 Mustang Coastal Limited Edition
It follows the footsteps of the California Special editions. With a 310-HP 2 liter turbo EcoBoost engine, you can get it with convertible or coupe bodywork. Like the original version, it looks like a Shelby notchback. In fact, all of the editions receive a backside fender scoop along with a fastback that features a pedestal spoiler. This spoiler is known as a wing. On the original car, there was a ducktail spoiler.
Besides, other design features include a coastal dash plaque, an illuminated sill plate, a stripe, 19-inch rims, and a black grille. The strips begin from the hood and go all the way to the underside of the greenhouse.
You have a lot of color options, such as Rapid Red, Cyber Orange, and Brittany Blue. And the good thing is that it will cost you only $1,995 in addition to the base prices of $38,920 or $33,420 for the convertible or fastback variant. The order bank will open up on 15th November for Spring deliveries next year.
Code Orange!
The Bronco Raptor and the Ford F-150 Raptor are the only vehicles that will feature Code Orange paint. The good news is that you can get the 2022 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 in this color. In fact, Code Orange is the 9th special color for the lineup of the 2022 Mustang. Other color choices include Mischievous Purple Metallic, Grabber Blue Metallic, Eruption Green Metallic, Dark Matter Gray Metallic, Cyber Orange Metallic Tri-Coat, Brittany Blue Metallic, and Atlas Blue Metallic.
